Neon Tubes
- Length 1500 mm
- Socket: G13 (=T8)
- 3 rows with 5 "housings" which can take 2 tubes each = 30 possible tubes
- As of Feb. 2026 only 17 tubes were functional In Spring 2026 the tubes have been reduced to just 8 left, which are enough for lighting the space in a normal mode.
- They can replaced with LED ones
- In Feb. 2026 we tested LED tubes with 3000 K color temperature (warm white). Despite making a cozy light they're to yellow for working and seeing things (objects) in their actual color. Daylight white (around 6500 K) on the other hand is to harsh. Therefor we want to go with neutral white (around 4000 K).
- Power consumption neon tube: 60 Watt (4600lm); LED tube: ~24 Watt
- We reduced the number of working tubes to 7 in the last count.
- In this Plenum, we approved 80 € for a 10-pack of tubes.
- Shopping List for Chris: 80€ for 10 ea, 4000 K, G13, 1500mm, Drop in replacement, 24W LED, Energieklasse? This shop has lights in
- D (6,40€, 20,5W, 2900lm, 80Ra, 3000K) and the others are E-class :(
- B (10,80€, 22,1W ~= 58W Neon, 4100lm, 90Ra, 4000K) Datasheet ^-- this seems to be the only good choice. High efficiency, high CRI, right power. The price is also good, acc to geizhals.de
Warm white FairyLights
Installed simple LED fairy lights which are integrated in Home Assistant.
Might be nice to upgrade them later to some more bright lights.

Chris B was working on some lights to shine against the roof. There are already some on the Member-Box next to the Project-Palette. Not sure what the status is
