The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things and decide stuff.
If you have any topics to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).
After the Plenum, please follow the tasks outlined in Cycling the Plenum to archive the discussion.
Preamble
- The Plenum is an institution to decide what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
- Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
- Everyone on-site can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
- Everyone can lead a plenum; no need for board members to do that.
- Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand.
- The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
- Scheduling: Second Thursday of the month at 8 pm and the last Sunday after the cleanup (which starts at 11 am)
- Plenums should be no longer than 90 minutes.
Next Plenum: Thursday, April 10th at 8pm
Topics for the Plenum
What are you currently working on?
Projects & Groups update
This is a quick update from group meetings at our space, other long-term space projects (e.g., Lasercutter, CNC, etc.) or of the lab internal projects.
KreativLaborOpen
16. - 18. May
- Official website: https://kreativlabor-open.de/
- Planning Wiki: Kreativquartier Open 2025
- Planning Slack channel: https://munichmakerlab.slack.com/archives/C08K1P5291S
Please get involved, so we can do a great program.
If you just want to join, we are also planning some informal get to gether on Friday and Saturday evening.

Teams and List of Contact
I recently updated the List of Contacts, so that we have a better overview which areas might need some more people to get involved. For example, that it would be good to have more course instructors as David mentioned also recently: https://munichmakerlab.slack.com/archives/C78KSC5EG/p1736858155097379

Vorstand updates
Say Thank you
- Bira for the 3D printed table plugs.
MiniJobs
If you want to be mentioned at the previous section as well, one of the easiest ways is to take one of our MiniJobs. This is a great way to participate in the Munich Maker Lab e.V. and contributing time helps keeping our space in a good shape. You can find all information about the scope of the available jobs on MiniJobs.
Stuff from the past
What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20250330 Plenum
- New book shelf was setup and all magazin/books moved into it. The Demo shelf with the 3D print models at the entrace will get some nice LEDs and cleanup soon. I have some leftover WS2811 LEDs which I will use. If, someone is interested in helping out. Just ping me on slack. --Milian 08:24, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
Awareness for understaffed Vorstand
Since a few month we only have one active "Vorstand" left. David is doing a great job since a long time, but has also only limited capacity and it's not good to have no one else as offical backup. We should start to make more people aware, that the Munich Makerlab is not running without a proper "Vorstand", even most of the daily business is community driven. We will need more motivated people soon so the member should also be aware of it.
It has also been quite a while since the last "Mitgliederversammlung". Of course it's not easy, because now David has the burden to organize, but we defenitely need a minimum of two persons in the "Vorstand" to have proper knowledge sharing and a backup. The aim should be at least to set a date soon. A little lead time is needed anyway with proper invitations before a general meeting can take place. Milian 20:59, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Things to Buy
- At the moment we only have a homemade and worn-out helping hand to hold things in place while soldering. Proper helping hand with 4 clips and a magnifier: 18,-€ --Phier (talk) 14:42, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
- Electronic Kits for Soldering Workshop + replacement parts for the soldering toolkits (tools, soldering iron tips etc): Current scope is for Kreativlabor Open Workshop, but then also for normal workshops. I ordered already some testkits and will decide afterwards which one we will take and how much. Plan is to refinance a part of the money via donation. Idea was to get around 20-40 small kits and 10 bigger kits (for a bit more advanced people). Remaining parts can be taken for internal follow up workshops. up to 170,-€ Milian 20:57, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- New Pavillion 3x3m: 130€ We had two Pavillion for events in front of the lab or somewhere else. On of the Pavis is more or less broken according to Chris B. Therefore, it would be good to have a second good one again. I searched for a similar version as we have before, with four side walls and, which is easy to setup. This product seems to be a good mix of price and quality. It should be more or less the same one as we have at the moment. Link Milian 20:57, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- Budget for colorful PLA: up to 60€ (around 3 roles). For Kreativlabor Open we might need some more colorful filament for demo purpose. Filament for the lab is also part of the consumables, but since we want to use also for the event, I added it here. Milian 20:57, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- Open budget for small things to buy spontanous things for Kreativlabor open: up to 60€. We will probably need some small stuff for the event like new hooks for decoration, big paper, pens etc. Would be good to have some small pre-approved budget. Milian 20:57, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- As discussed in the last Plenum we want to buy some tools to be able to repair bikes at the Lab:
- Tire pump 18,-€ --Phier
