Projects & Groups update

This is a quick update from group meetings at our space, other long-term space projects (e.g., Lasercutter, CNC, etc.) or of the lab internal projects.

Lasercutter

The old water cooling system died. We opened it up. Theoretically, only the pump and motor need to be exchanged, but for energy efficiency reasons and extended wear we should get a new one. See things to buy.

Energy for Ukraine

Valentin knows someone that is currently DIYing Flashlights and Powerbanks for Ukraine. He would like to regularly do workshops here to facilitate teaching other people to build them as well. => Approved

- Valentin will proxy the news, we will announce the workshops that come out of this in advance in slack

- Put a battery disposal box in the Lab.

Vorstand updates

  • We have a new Vorstand: Milian, Adrian & Karl. Thanks for doing this.
Also thanks to the old and new cash auditor (Kassenprüfer) Aaron
  • Discussion on the new rent increase
  • The discussion about the storage boxes (process who gets one / prices / do we want to keep them at all) will be handed over to the new Vorstand.

Status of the big CNC mill

It's been effectively unused for a few years. We'll have to calculate the roundabout value of the whole thing and then offer people to purchase it. Korbinian would like to offer that he temporarily lent his CNC.

  • Do we want to keep the CNC => no (unanimously)
  • Do we want to sell it or give it away for free? => we want money for it (unanimously)

=> Phier will find out how much we can sell for it and present that on the next Plenum

Awarness Team

  • Ivan would like to reanimate the Awareness Team --Ivan
    • Find some people interested and organise a meeting. As soon as you have a thought through plan present it at the Plenum and we'll go from there.

MiniJobs

If you want to be mentioned at the previous section as well, one of the easiest ways is to take one of our MiniJobs. This is a great way to participate in the Munich Maker Lab e.V. and contributing time helps keeping our space in a good shape. You can find all information about the scope of the available jobs on MiniJobs.

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20250927 Plenum

Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

  • There is a Camera pointing at the space. --AdrianM
  • Jonathan wants to make some jigs / projects for the workshop which would be useful for more people. He will present the plan and costs in the next Plenum(s)

Things for Newsletter, Social Media & Website News

Introduce Loomio poll

Things to Buy

  • Guide rail for the Scheppach circular saw. The current one is pretty messed up and it would be good to have a second one. 50,-€ --Phier => Approved, see if we replace the whole saw
  • SIHAO CW5000 Industrieller Wasserkühler für CO2-Gravur-Schneidemaschine, Kühlung 40 W, 214,69€ => Approved
