The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things and decide stuff.
If you have any topics to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).
After the Plenum, please follow the tasks outlined in Cycling the Plenum to archive the discussion.

Projects & Groups update
This is a quick update from group meetings at our space, other long-term space projects (e.g., Lasercutter, CNC, etc.) or of the lab internal projects.
- the demo-shelf upgrade has been done. Please ping us, if you have ideas for new extensions. -- Milian & Friedjof
- outdoor fairy light is installed and integrated into the home assistant. The cabeling will be improved soon and will then be also water and winter proof, so the fairy light can stay outside the whole year. It also be taken down quite easily e.g. for external events and can be used with a dimmer. -- Milian
- the electric tree wall decoration has been started. We still need a few more old cables and pcbs, if someone has some to donate. Please put them into the black box in the electronics corner labeled with "donation pcbs" -- Milian
- last cleanup event was not well attended and the weather was super bad. So the summer event was also cancelled. Maybe can do some new try on Saturday 30th of August on our next cleanup & project day -- Milian
- Andrian and Vale are planning to build a pinball machine from scratch. They will create a project group for it.

MiniJobs
If you want to be mentioned at the previous section as well, one of the easiest ways is to take one of our MiniJobs. This is a great way to participate in the Munich Maker Lab e.V. and contributing time helps keeping our space in a good shape. You can find all information about the scope of the available jobs on MiniJobs.
Stuff from the past
What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20250710 Plenum
- One storage box was opened (without any damage) and assigned to member "Marko".
Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
- The new printer is being used a lot, which is great. However, we’ve already printed around 2,000 pages and have completely run out of paper. Unfortunately, no one restocked it or even posted a notification on Slack. -- Milan & Chris B.
- It was decided to put a piggy bank on the printer: 0,10 € for one page
- 2500 new A4 pages has been ordered by Valentin
- Someone build up a workstation at the community tables next to the kitchen. Someone knows about it and if it was somehow approved to stay longer? Otherwise I would suppose to remove it in one week to unblock the tables. -- Milian
- It was decided to put a sign on it to notify the person to remove the setup

Things to Buy
- 4€/Month for Hetzner 1TB storage box
We run several Hetzner VMs for our web infrastructure (like wiki etc.) for around 20€ a month. 2 old ones, which will phase out in the future when also the mail setup is migrated and one that host our current infrastructure. The IT group want to add a Nextcloud to the setup, which we can be used for several internal topics in the future (Calender, shared storage etc.), but this will need some dedicated storage. Furthermore, it would be good to have a Maker Lab owned storage for external backups in addtion to our local NAS. Therefore I want to rent an so called Hetzner Storage box with 1TB online storage as addtion to our current servers. -- Milian

- ~50€ for Plotter accessories As mentioned in the wiki, it would be nice to have some tools to weed the plotter cuts from the Silhouette Portrait. A set of plotter accessories (scalpel, squeegee, cutting mat,...) costs around 18 €. Vinyl for Stickers is around 17 € and transfer foil around 9 €. I tested the plotter on the weekend and it works as intended. -- Svenson
- Yes for the plotter accessoir, but no for vinyl and transfer foil as they classify as personal comsumeables and therefore not paid by the Lab.
- 25 to potentially 155 Euro to get some proper metal jigs, vices and clamps for the small CNC machine. The Jig I 3D Printed for the introduction course broke and I think its time to finally get some proper mounting equipments, especially since we currently only have 3d printed ones which is fine for wood but for other stuff metal claps and vices are a safer choice. This will make the life a lot easier when using the machine, and should be also compatiple with other machines.
I'm planning to get either some or all of the three following jigs: Machining Vice , Side Clamp Vice, Metal Clamps. If anyone have better Ideas feel free to suggest them! --Spacezhang (talk) 17:50, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
