Everything in our Munich Makerlab is managed voluntarily by our members. This includes cleanup, building and repairing machines, and making changes. It's essential that everyone takes responsibility in our space or online via platforms like Slack and our wiki.

The best way to get to know our space and the people is to visit us.

Our Makerlab operates like a regular club with a small board of elected directors handling legal matters. Other tasks are managed by working groups or individuals interested in specific areas. The main decision-making body is our regular Plenum, where members decide on space-related issues.

We are organized as regular clubs. There is a really small board of elected directors who care for the legal stuff. All other stuff is handled by different working groups or just people who want to care about a specific part. The main institution is our regular Plenum, where we decide what happens in the space.

Abandoned items are placed in the "Herrenloses Zeug" box (below the 3D printers) until the next cleanup. They are then moved to the "Last Chance" box. Photos are posted to Slack during each cycle. If you place items in the box, check if an owner is noted and try to contact them.

If you are an member you can use the space also alone.
Q: What is cleanup and what am I supposed to do?
Clean the floor, return tools and machines to their designated places, take out the trash, and help keep our space tidy. A full list of tasks is on Cleanup.

For the bigger machines you will need an introduction course. You will get more details on the onboarding. Date for onboarding courses can be found here: https://munichmakerlab.de/calendar

Transfer items from the "Herrenloses Zeug" box to the "Letzte Chance" Box.

Q: What happens with abandoned stuff? (aka where do I put it/where do I find it)
Place items from the tables into the "Herrenloses Zeug" box.
Stuff is being put into the "Herrenloses Zeug" box (below 3D printers) and remain there until the next cleanup. At the cleanup it is put into the "Last Chance" box. A picture is posted to slack every time the boxes are cycled. If you put stuff into the box, look if a owner is noted and try to contact them.

Q: What is cleanup and what am I supposed to do?
Q: Free to use
Clean the floor, put back all tools and machines to their designated place, bring out the trash and do whatever it takes to keep the space clean and tidy.<br>
If you have useful items you no longer need, place them on the "Free to use" shelves. Keep similar items together. Feel free to use these items for projects, but remember they are shared among our members. For example, if you have a Raspberry Pi you don't need, you can put it there for others to use.
A full list of the tasks are on the Cleanup page.

Last chance box
* Put the useful stuff from the Letzte Chance Box into the Free to use shelves, and clean out the remaining garbage.
* Put everything from the Herrenloses Zeug box into the Letzte Chance Box
* Put everything on the tables into the Herrenloses Zeug box

Q: Free to use
You have stuff that's useful but you don't need? Put it in the Free to use shelves. Please don't put it just anywhere, but try to put similar stuff together.
If you see something you want, grab it and tinker with it. You are free to use it. But don't just take it for yourself. Things in here
are shared. So e.g. if you have an Raspberry Pi and don't have a use to it, you could put it there, others can
play and build stuff with it.

Q: Can I lend stuff?
Lending tools and space owned equipment for a short period of time is acceptable if put on Stuff on a mission. For longer term lending, please ask on the next Plenum.

Q: Can I lend stuff?
Short-term lending of tools and space-owned equipment is allowed if documented on Stuff on a mission. For longer-term loans, request approval at the next Plenum.
