There's a program for flashing hamradio systems, it's called Chirp . But it is a bit old, therefore we use chirp-next, which is located under https://chirpmyradio.com/projects/chirp/wiki/ChirpOnLinux which is a python program.

  1. After installing the python program via the installation instructions (pipx), you start it via ~/.local/bin/chirp.
  2. You go to help and activate developer mode
  3. You go to File -> Load Module and load the file uvk5_egzumer_f4hwn_ver_4_0_0.py from the /www.github.com/armel/uv-k5-chirp-driver repository
  4. Then you can load the img with all the saved frequencies and push it to the quanshenv uv k-5 via a usb programmer cable
