Account creation: Create your own account, needs to be confirmed by an admin. Account creation via top right menu.
Make Sure to Confirm your account email, otherwise you will not be able to edit pages. If you need to re-send the confirmation mail, use the button on this page: Special:Preferences
Edit Page:
Every logged in user can edit pages. There is a history functionality, so no worries if something break, it's easy to recover.
MediaWiki supports editing pages with the Wiki Markup language or with a visual editor. witch between text based and visual based editor:
Create New Page:
To create a new page you need to search for your desired title and then use the link in the search results to create the new page. This makes sure you don't create a page, that already exists.
Please use categories for space related topics, so the pages are grouped properly. You can find the most used categories here on the categories overview
We use boxes for pages about projects and tools in our inventory: Just copy the media wiki markdown code from an existing page, if you want to use the box design as well or copy it directly from the source.
HowToAdmin
- Add user to admin group:
- Go to Special:UserRights.
- Enter the username.
- Add user to the "sysop" (admin) group.
- Grant rights to confirm accounts:
- On Special:UserRights, add user to "accountcreator" and/or "bureaucrat" groups if needed for account confirmations or advanced rights.
- For Extension:ConfirmAccount, add to "confirmaccount" group.
- Confirm an account request:
- Go to Special:ConfirmAccounts.
- Review pending requests.
- Approve or reject requests as appropriate.
