Bambuddy

From The Munich Maker Lab's Wiki

We have a Bambuddy installation that is hooked up to both Bambulab P1S printers at the lab. You can access it via http://10.10.20.47:8000/.

Server-Side Slicing

You can slice your STLs and 3MFs in Bambuddy, making it possible to use Rambu and Lambu completely from your phone! Go to the "File Manager" section and upload your non-sliced file. You then click on the context menu and hit slice as shown in this picture:

a visual guide on how to get to the slicing menu

if it's a .3mf with multiple pre-arranged plates you get to choose which plate you want to slice now. Afterwards you get greeted with basically the entire print settings dialogue. Use the pipelines options highlighted here to set the most important settings:

You should be seeing one option for PETG and one for PLA. other than that set your settings as you would in Bambu Studio or Orcaslicer. Hit Slice and you should be rewarded with a GCODE.3MF file next to your original. Look it over in the 3d Preview (in the same context menu as the Slicer was, but on the new file) to see if it makes sense, then send it to a printer!

Hosting

It's hosted on the Proxmox in the basement. The serverside slicing happens on the container itself, so that everything is nice and contained.
