The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things and decide stuff. If you have any topics to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).

After the Plenum, please follow the tasks outlined in Cycling the Plenum to archive the discussion.

Preamble

  • The Plenum is an institution to decide what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
  • Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
  • Everyone on-site can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
  • Everyone can lead a plenum; no need for board members to do that.
  • Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand.
  • The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
  • Scheduling: Second Thursday of the month at 8 pm and the last Sunday after the cleanup (which starts at 11 am)
  • Plenums should be no longer than 90 minutes.

Next Plenum: Sunday, June 30th after the cleanup which starts at 11am

Projects & Groups update

This is a quick update from group meetings at our space or other long-term space projects (e.g., Lasercutter, CNC, etc.)

  • Roger and Chris would like to use the Space + Grill on Saturday, July 20th, for a private birthday party.
  • We plan to fire up the grill, and of course, lab members are welcome to join and grill with us. It might get a bit louder due to the music. Naturally, we will leave the space as we found it. Roger and Chris are responsible. We look forward to a wonderful evening with you.
    • Approved by everyone

Vorstand updates

Say Thank you

  • Everyone who helped at the cleanup today

MiniJobs

If you want to be mentioned at the previous section as well, one of the easiest ways is to take one of our MiniJobs. This is a great way to participate in the Munich Maker Lab e.V. and contributing time helps keeping our space in a good shape. You can find all information about the scope of the available jobs on MiniJobs.

Things to Buy

  • vitalij wants to buy a better soldering iron (q3k recommends maybe a club TS100 or a 'T12 clone')
    • Vitalij will present some more concrete research at the next plenum
  • AliG - Magenta printer toner is run out
    • we will ask in Slack if someone knows about it, Ali will search how much toner costs
    • get cheap B/W laser printer instead?
  • AliG - Run out of clear bin-liners
  • AliG - Run out of blue rolls
    • dealt with via consumables

  • Nico wants to buy a BBQ grill, fire starting equipment, tongues and cleaning brush for <250€. We used to have a BBQ most Thursdays in the past and those were very social events. Let's bring that back! And a locked BBQ where a couple people know the pin is no option in my opinion.
    • If the existing grill can't be made public in way, we approve to buy a grill and accessories for 200€, while expecting people to be mindful of the smoke and cleanliness. Storage could be either outside or in the pit. Approved by everyone.
  • In the past charcoal for the BBQ was a consumable (no idea why it's not on the list) and I vote to add it there. I guess it's 20€/month during the summer but in return it helps the social aspects of your makerspace.
    • Approved by everyone, but we have a a bag currently in the workshop already
