  • q3k: Firmware for Raspberry Pico
  • Korbinian: Router Lift Project
  • Justin: University, PCB routing, 3D printer stuff
  • Bernhard: Screwing around

Projects & Groups update

Just a quick update from the group meeting at our space, or other long-term space projects

  • Laser Cutter status update: Cutter was not performing well, discovered the lens was mounted the wrong way around. Now the results are a lot better. Testing the safety system and the access management via OpenUnitState went well. Got a blueprint for a liability waiver from Verband offener Werkstätten. The last thing holding us back: Finish training material, set dates for training.
  • Router Lift: Design was completely redone. Change frame, motion system, and motor. Should be easier to do dust extraction now and electronics are dust proof. Should be able to handle every existing router.
  • 3D printer: Got final parts for reverse bowden tube setup for the zonestar, if you want to help talk to Justin. Korbinian and Adrian found out that the broken Prusa Mini hat the wrong firmware flashed to it and fixed it. Thanks! Need to do first layer calibration now. Please always let the people in #3D-printing slack channel know of any developments with the 3D printers. And to everyone: Do not flash the wrong (or any) firmware to the printers! Aaron will update wiki pages.

Status current heating issues

Have a heat data recording setup and we are in contact with the landlord and the Hausmeister. A company was supposed to fix it today but they did not show up. Another thing related to pressure was fixed though, also the night mode sets in too early still.

No End-of-Month plenum in december

We already discussed this at the last plenum, but forgot to put it in the minutes. Due to the holidays, the sunday plenum in december will be skipped. Happy holidays!

Say Thank you

  • Adrian and Korbinian for debugging the broken Prusa
  • Meier for the restocking the drinks
  • The laser cutter people for their hard work
  • German for restocking the vending machine
  • Justin for working on the 3D printers
  • Theresa for cleaning left-behind cutlery in the kitchen
  • German and Aaron for organizing DECO
  • Justin for submitting a whole project and finished blog post as content for our social media channels.

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20221127 Plenum

  • Nothing.

Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

Is there anything that's bothering you?

  • It makes me sad to see that nobody wants to take care of the towels/rugs in the kitchen. Many people are using the kitchen and it should be possible for almost everyone to clean them. It is an easy task and does not cost a lot of time or money. So who wants to opt-in to wash them? --ⓒ②② (🅃🄰🄻🄺) 16:54, 8 December 2022 (CET)
  • The kitchen is not in a hygienically acceptable state. PLEASE make sure to clean up after yourself (and it is very nice to clean it if you see another spot that "was dirty before" and go ahead and clean it). So as a reminder:
    • Clean up after yourself. Especially the oven, kitchen boards, ... after you are done.
    • Take the courage and clean a little more than just after yourself. It really does not work long term otherwise.
    • Do not put any dishes/pans/glassware/forks etc. next to the sink. Either clean it + dry it and put it back OR just put it in the dishwasher.
    • Don't leave open food containers behind.
    • Label your stuff in the fridge and try to remember it is there ;-)

Thanks for everyone helping to make the kitchen work. You rock! --ⓒ②② (🅃🄰🄻🄺) 16:54, 8 December 2022 (CET)

Help needed: Replacing the broken bulbs/tubes at space

  • No LED for multiple reasons. Looked into cost, replacement of whole lamp not feasible. This is final, decided by board of members.

Who can help? There are three jobs:

  • Ordering the replacement bulbs and starters (done!)
  • Changing the tubes using the ladder (height warning). Bernhard is open to do it on 27th
  • Disposing the old tubes at the recycling center (Wertstoffhof). This is open for now, --> Next Plenum!

Call for participation - DECO 2022
