Thank you

Let's say thank you to those who did some awesome stuff for the space since the last plenum

  • Nico for building the workshop
  • Peter for bringing a fridge

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status on those things? 20170223 Plenum

We bought:

  • Ladder
  • The hardware store only has crappy cable trenches so we're currently using duct-tape to protect cables lying on the floor
  • Audio-stuff has been bought

Anything you don't feel comfortable with in the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

Is there anything that's bothering you?

  • Please return tools from where you took them. The tools drawer has compartments for screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Please sort them into the right compartmemts.
  • Clean up your stuff when you leave (wash dishes, remove stuff from the table, ...)
  • Sort your empty bottles into the CORRECT cases

Maker Camp in MuMaLab

A few people from Switzerland asked for a place to stay during Make Munich 2017 (May 6th-7th). The idea came up to have a camp for a few maker who exhibit at Make Munich in the space. Any opinions? That would also require a few people to take care of it, basically host our guests -- MartinL

We'll define times when the space is open so that we don't have to cover the whole day. In addition we'll set a maximum of people allowed to the space (to be defined). The night shift will be someone who is sleeping in the space.

  • Three people didn't vote, nobody is against so lots of people support the camp

Make Munich 2017 in general

  • We will do the bar at Make Munich
    • JanS will send a schedule where everybody is supposed to enter their names for shifts
    • discussioms about what drinks to buy, after experiences from last year. Meetings with a smaller group to sort that out to be planned
  • We still need something to show
    • Please take a look at Make Munich 2017, and fill in stuff you could bring to our booth

Newsletter

Peter and I have been writing a newsletter every week, for the past few months now. You should've all received it via the discuss@ mailing list. People seem to like it, but it takes up a bit of time every week, and we don't get to cover a s much as we would like to, so we'd love for more people to join us in making this thing. Any volunteers? --Tiefpunkt (talk) 08:53, 27 February 2017 (CET)

  • David can help after exams and stuff (1-2 months)
  • Newsletter is written and organized in Trello, process to be documented in wiki

Laser cutter exhaust filter

Heiko and I have made a plan for the laser air filter. Details are here: Laser Air Filter‎‎ --Tiefpunkt (talk) 21:23, 28 February 2017 (CET)

  • Is going to cost about 400€
  • Heiko explained the details - see Laser Air Filter‎‎
  • The filter will be mounted against our back wall where some bee hives are. That means that we can't just dump bad air out but have to filter it pretty well.
  • All approved the money spent

Stuff to buy

  • Fill up first aid stock (<40€) --Nicolai
    • No spending needed as we now have all we need.
    • Nico will sort the stuff into the big case and mount it to the wall near the sink.

Wishlist

Some stuff that would be great to have, but some of you probably still have at home and could donate to the space

  • Electric kettle (Wasserkocher) --Tiefpunkt (talk) 08:53, 27 February 2017 (CET)
  • Cooking Utensils - Kitchen knifes, cutting board, ....
  • Spoons
  • Tee/coffee cups - Nico will bring some

Hosting internal websites in the space

We've got a new docker host, to host things in the space. Since there are a few HTML/PHP projects running on the octoprint machine, we want to make the deployment of that stuff easier. So Jan built a thing that takes GIT repositories which were uploaded to GitHub (in the MunichMakerLab organization), and automatically deploys them on our machine. Details and manual can be found in the wiki.

Misc

  • Prior to the fire inspection Severin will mount the extinguishers to the wall.
  • Everything at the SDI is out now, and everything is settled with the landlord
    • Peter talked to Tasso. We can keep the euro palettes but have to return the "hubwagen" together with a box of wine. Box of wine was approved a few weeks ago.
      • we dont't really need a Hubwagen right now. Halle 6 has one we could borrow. Liviu will try to get us an old one from work
  • Paul's grandpa has a H0 model train he wants to get rid of. We want it!
  • We might get a complete 3D cave from LRZ which consists of two CRT projectors, motion tracking hardware and more.

World Domination

Was on hold during the move. Now back to standard operations in secrecy.
