Projects & Groups update
Just a quick update from the groups meeting at our space, or other long-term space projects
- Planters
- Aaron & Meier built the Planters! And filled them with soil! And plants!
- Lasercutter: prototyping safety system is underway and progress is made
- Workshops/Courses:
- - Aaron is holding the 3d printing workshops, the users are happy!
- - Meier gave the third workshop introduction, users are also happy!
- Gaming Area (Botox)
- - New couch was installed, was discussed with board of the association beforhand
- - Decision needed if we install trusses over the area. Since thre trusses are for free (except for some mounting materials) and can be removed easily noone objected to go ahead.
- Pfaff Sewing Machine (Botox)
- - Bernhard adjusted some Stuff now its works ok-ish. Cecile should give guidance who might use it under which conditions in order to avoid mischief or a broken machine.
- Motorcycle Lift (Botox)
- - Lift is so big it does not fit on the project palette. This was resolved later, it is now stored at our neighbours place. Rest of materials will be removed first or second week of May
- Spring clenaup
- - All non labeled stuff might be stuff for removal! Including stuff on top of storage boxes!
- - Call for participation
- Future of the Lab workshop
- - Recap and layout of further steps from board of the association is requested
Say Thank you
- Alex for cleaning up and vacuuming
- Aaron and Meier for building the new plant boxes
- Bernhard for good communication around 3d printer problems
- German for printing a Prusa-MINI replacement part
- Aaron and Meier for taking care of the plants @ space project
Stuff from the past
What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20220310 Plenum
- Renaming of gaming area
- Just name it like you want. There is no offical title for areas.
Anything you don't feel comfortable within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
Is there anything that's bothering you?
- Would be great if workshops were announced beforehand and MuMaLab members were offered a chance to participate. Maybe I missed it, but it seems the OpenBikeSensor workshop this year was not previously discussed on a Plenum or our Slack. (And to be clear, I totally think we should do it, but it should be communicated better) --C22 (talk) 16:24, 9 April 2022 (CEST)
- - noted without further comments
- Please label your leftovers in the kitchen either with free2eat or throw them away. No one likes watching your salad ferment. (Botox)
- - See next point
- Also clean up after using the table saw, and use appropriate dust evac in first place. (Botox)
- - See next point
- If Possible keep the Space entrance free of "barricades" aka your big footprint projects and plan ahead which space you wanna use instead expecting others to move their stuff because you misscalculated the floorspace you need (Botox)
- - Persons in questions showed repeated non-interest in taking part in the club community activities and meetings. The lab should cleary communicate that members should/must particitpate in cummunity activities. It should be made clear that participation in the club is necessary. The board of members has been informed and will take it from here. There was also a short discussion (not the first time) about using the club facillities for commercial work.
- In regards to the Covid restrictions, plenum should become a on premises/mixed thing again. (Botox)
- - People should be on site more to know more what is going on. Commuication might get better if people talk more face2face.
- - Proposal: plenum in person with online participation only on request.
- - Workflow: plenum page is updated with a section with request for hybrid, people can enter their name/what they want to present/reason for absence
- -> We will try this, and re-discuss on future plenums
Things for Newsletter, Social Media & Website News
- We are Allowed to have Guests again. Spread the word.
- - True, we are still waiting for the official documents to be updated by the board of members.
- - long term we might consider some kind of automatic reset of the status (in case people forget to switch it back to closed)
- Plenum will be in person, with online participants on requests (Section in Plenum Wiki-Page)
- Use the space status!
- Spring cleaup!
- Clean-Up: ALL non-labeled stuff (regardless where) is subject to removal!
Introduce Loomio poll
Things to Buy
- Spend 80€ on a Rental Van for a the Move of the guy (Rolf from the Lasertag) that gave us his couch for the gaming area. (botox)
- - Costs will be covered, but please ask beforehand next time. Big reminder to actually ask BEFORE making commitments ;-) (8/8 approved)
- Also spend 15€ for a new Netzteil for the NES (botox?)
- - (8/8 approved)
- 150€ for lights in the pit. The old "light tube" has burnout ;-) and it is time to finally properly build it. The tubes are already in the space, but we need various material (cable, motion sensor, conduit, conduit clips, e-boxes) --C22 (talk) 19:41, 9 April 2022 (CEST)
- - (8/8) approved
- 200€ budget for the cleanup on 24th of April in order to buy cleaning supplies and replace broken stuff we find during cleanup. We will most likely end up using ~50€, but it would be great to have more pre-approved should it become necessary. --C22 (talk) 12:03, 13 April 2022 (CEST)
- - (8/8) approved
- Replacement parts for the Prusa 3D printers: 4*0.4mm nozzle, 2*0.6mm nozzle, mini y-plate front ~32€ incl. Versand --Meier (talk) 08:12, 14 April 2022 (CEST)
- - if we order from prusa we just might add in 2 rolls of Prusament for printing assortment stuff/workshop stuff (30 bucks?) bringing the total up to 90€
- - (8/8) approved
- Some Money (approx 100€) to mount the truss in the gaming corner
- - (8/8) approved
