The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things and decide stuff. If you have any topics to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).

After the Plenum, please follow the tasks outlined in Cycling the Plenum to archive the discussion.

Preamble

  • The Plenum is an institution to decide what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
  • Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
  • Everyone on-site can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
  • Everyone can lead a plenum; no need for board members to do that.
  • Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand.
  • The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
  • Scheduling: Second Thursday of the month at 8 pm and the last Sunday after the cleanup (which starts at 11 am)
  • Plenums should be no longer than 90 minutes.

Next Plenum: Thursday, Dec 14 at 8pm

Projects & Groups update

This is a quick update from group meetings at our space or other long-term space projects (e.g., Lasercutter, CNC, etc.)

  • Mini CNC Update: We now have a replacement for CNC 3018 Pro machine that is more capable and safe. For the new machine to fit though, we need more room as it is a bit bigger then the current machine. My proposal is we get a extra shelve from bauhaus 100 x 50mm Shelf and put a big eurobox below, so the big eurobox can be used as a container and the same time as an enclosure, something along this: AUER Printer --Spacezhang (talk) 21:08, 7 December 2023 (CET)

Introduction Courses

(I will talk about the new courses quickly) As we have a lot of volunteers now who are taking care of these courses, I wanted to bring up that it would be kind of nice if they were allowed to take drinks from the fridge during the courses. This doesn't cost the space much money but will show some appreciation to those who are volunteering to hold courses. --ⓒ②② (🅃🄰🄻🄺) 14:23, 14 December 2023 (CET)

MiniJobs

If you want to be mentioned at the previous section as well, one of the easiest ways is to take one of our MiniJobs. This is a great way to participate in the Munich Maker Lab e.V. and contributing time helps keeping our space in a good shape. You can find all information about the scope of the available jobs on MiniJobs.

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20231126 Plenum

Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

Light in the pit (Phier)

There is no proper light in the pit. A LED panel is already installed near the servers but one have to walk in the dark till the end of the pit to switch it on. We could buy a switch and install it at the entrance of the pit. Advanced option: Buy a button and a power-off delay relay so the light turns off automatically after a few minutes. If the currently installed LED panel isn't enough to light up the pit, another panel (or a LED tube) could be installed.

    • Asked a while ago who wanted to help install this and there was no interest. Help needed measuring and installing, we have some material on-site (lamps) and a plan what is needed. Due to constraints (removable top) and the topic (electricity on a metal structure), this needs to be planned out beforehand. We generally do no longer buy "Baumarktschalter". The best solution for the pit (and what was previously discussed) is a motion sensor, as people go down there with full hands regularly. --ⓒ②② (🅃🄰🄻🄺) 20:33, 11 December 2023 (CET)

Friday private workshops

The workshops have repeatedly not taken place without notice. This blocks the space for the human beings that are nice and trying to stay away. My suggestion is to remove the recurring block and ask for a notice one month ahead so the individual dates it takes place can be added to the calendar. --ⓒ②② (🅃🄰🄻🄺) 14:18, 14 December 2023 (CET)

Things for Newsletter, Social Media & Website News

Introduce Loomio poll

Things to Buy

  • New PEI sheet for the Sidewinder X2 (the current one got damaged because the filament-sensor cable got tangled around the Z-spindle). Either this one (German supplier) or that one from AliExpress. 32,79€ vs 33,34€ --Phier
