Holding an online plenum is no new process and we will only do this do try it out during the time the space is closed.
Doing online plenums in the future needs plenum approval.
In case we decide to do online plenums in the future this acts as a proof of concept.

I often run into the issue that I don't find enough time to work on projects that the 7 day time limit for stuff on the project pallet is simply too short. I'm wondering if I'm the only one, or if not whether we should discuss changing the limit to accommodate for more people's needs. --Tiefpunkt (talk) 22:51, 2 January 2022 (CET)

I've finally gotten around to talk to David from OuiShare about the proposed "The Future of the Lab" Workshop. After a bit of conversation, we found 3 main goals for the workshop
** does it stink? Yes, but it’s portable enough to just move it to the workshop gate or even out into the open for operation
<blockquote>
** does it need 3phase power? No, single phase 230V
1) Community wieder zusammenbringen und stärken, Gemeinschaftliche Beteiligung ins Bewusstsein rufen (ihr seid die die gestalten), Alte und Neue zusammenbringen

** timeframe: we could do something like 2 weeks, sure. In general, I won’t have time to get this started properly until June, or more likely even July.

* I like the idea, and we could probably use that for some other stuff as well (like managing our calendar etc). But we would need some people to take care of a bit of the admin work as well. From the size and the amount of topics, we estimated that a workshop would take roughly a day. That means we should probably do it on a weekend. I'll setup a doodle or something similar if we decide to go through with this.
Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
Costwise, we're looking at 800-1000€ for an entire workshop day. If we're faster, it'll be less. And ideally, we should try to have it in person.

Do we want to continue with this "project"?

With the availability of the Prusa MK3 to MK4 series upgrade kit and the demonstrated reliability of the Prusa MK4, I am considering upgrading our MK3 from Terry to a newer version, specifically, the MK3.5, MK3.9, or directly to the MK4. Each upgrade includes a more user-friendly interface and an enhanced mainboard. Notably, the MK3.9 and MK4 offer the added benefits of improved speed and quality. I have already discussed this with Terry and have time this semester to perform the upgrade. The cost of upgrading to the MK3.5 is 279 Euros, to the MK3.9 is 549 Euros, and the complete MK4 upgrade is 639 Euros. --Spacezhang (talk) 10:06, 28 April 2024 (CEST)
