Status of our space
Digital Magazines
Let's show some details in case somebody missed that the last time and give an update on the status
As we now have access to a digital subscription of several magazines, we should think about a way how members can access these. Direct access via the credentials is suboptimal, so we should find way to store them at the space. Maybe a nextcloud instance? --David (talk)
* The broken lab power supply has been exchanged, nobody raised the hand for breaking or attempting to repairing it. I decided to put the new one up anyway, because I think we should still share our stuff. --C22 (talk) 19:33, 10 January 2019 (CET)
* I like the idea, and we could probably use that for some other stuff as well (like managing our calendar etc). But we would need some people to take care of a bit of the admin work as well. Also we should investigate some “centralized” login mechanism to not have to create individual accounts on a multitude of services then (wiki, nextcloud, …) --Tiefpunkt (talk) 09:20, 28 April 2024 (CEST)

Collection of Rules
Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
Over time we've collected a bunch of rules, mostly out of plenum decisions. We've collected them in one place and would like to make it an "official" document:  Law and Order. --Tiefpunkt (talk) 18:42, 10 January 2019 (CET)

Code of Conduct
We've been talking about rules for interactions between people and the space and its machinery. Recent events have shown that we unfortunately also need rules and escalation paths for human-to-human interactions. I've gathered some references for such Codes Of Conduct and would like to gather a diverse set of people to work on this together, before we let toxicity take over. --Tiefpunkt (talk) 13:48, 4 January 2019 (CET)

With the availability of the Prusa MK3 to MK4 series upgrade kit and the demonstrated reliability of the Prusa MK4, I am considering upgrading our MK3 from Terry to a newer version, specifically, the MK3.5, MK3.9, or directly to the MK4. Each upgrade includes a more user-friendly interface and an enhanced mainboard. Notably, the MK3.9 and MK4 offer the added benefits of improved speed and quality. I have already discussed this with Terry and have time this semester to perform the upgrade. The cost of upgrading to the MK3.5 is 279 Euros, to the MK3.9 is 549 Euros, and the complete MK4 upgrade is 639 Euros. --Spacezhang (talk) 10:06, 28 April 2024 (CEST)

There will be another KiCad workshop on the 23rd Feb 2019. Let Paul or German know in case you are interested. It's exactly the same workshop as last time, but we couldn't fit all interested people in one workshop.
If necessary, you can request to participate remotely (via jitsi). Please briefly describe why you want to participate remotely and what topic you want to discuss. (additionally to adding the topic on top!)
