20250223 Plenum
The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things and decide stuff.
If you have any topics to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).
After the Plenum, please follow the tasks outlined in Cycling the Plenum to archive the discussion.
Preamble
- The Plenum is an institution to decide what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
- Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
- Everyone on-site can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
- Everyone can lead a plenum; no need for board members to do that.
- Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand.
- The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
- Scheduling: Second Thursday of the month at 8 pm and the last Sunday after the cleanup (which starts at 11 am)
- Plenums should be no longer than 90 minutes.
Next Plenum: Sunday, Feb 23rd roughly at 12pm after the cleanup (which starts at 11)
Topics for the Plenum
What are you currently working on?
- Phier: Fixing the Laser Cutter; Filament spool winder for the Lab
- Chris B.: Also on fixing the Laser Cutter
- Adrian: Fixing/Extending Valentin's electric bagpipes
- Alex: Building a coffee table
- David: Working on an egg plotter (eggbot) with Severin
Projects & Groups update
This is a quick update from group meetings at our space, other long-term space projects (e.g., Lasercutter, CNC, etc.) or of the lab internal projects.
Laser Cutter
The individual parts are still working but if you put them together they don't!? We're putting in some more electrical protection and then use the second laser control that's on the laser control board. If it's still not working we'll have to investigate further. We consider to buy another controller/motherboard from China so that we have a spare one in the very likely event that it's not magically fixed by switching it on again.
Kitchen
Forks are finally ordered. Adrian has given up on waiting for IKEA to get the forks back in stock.
Vorstand updates
- Electrical installation: There is a cable now - it's not plugged in though. We've talked to the electricians about installing our Shelly power meter and they will do it by the time they connect the new power cable. We don't have any hopes on actually getting plugged in soon but until then we don't pay individual power.
Say Thank you
- Peter, Valentin and David for fixing the vending machine "MuMaExpress".
- Milian for the new screw shelf in the workshop.
- Peter and Nico for getting the new printer.
- Chris K. for getting new carpenter's squares and fixing the old one.
- Valentin for setting up the other vending machine that we can take to fairs and stuff.
- Adrian and Milian for working on the website.
MiniJobs
If you want to be mentioned at the previous section as well, one of the easiest ways is to take one of our MiniJobs. This is a great way to participate in the Munich Maker Lab e.V. and contributing time helps keeping our space in a good shape. You can find all information about the scope of the available jobs on MiniJobs.
Stuff from the past
What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20250213 Plenum
Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
- The whole door to the workshop is in shambles. The handle is almost off now and the hinges didn't get any better in the meantime either.
- One digital caliper (Digitaler Messschieber) is still missing.
