The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things, and decide stuff.

If you have stuff to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).

After the Plenum, please follow the tasks outlined in Cycling the Plenum to archive the discussion.

Preamble

  • The Plenum is an institution to decide on what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
  • Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
  • Everyone who's there can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
  • Everyone can head a plenum, no need for board members to do that.
  • Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand
  • The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
  • Scheduling: second Thursday of the month at 8pm and last Sunday after the cleanup (which starts at 11am)
  • Plenums should be no longer than 90 minutes.

Next Plenum: Sunday, January 29th after the cleanup (which starts at 11am)

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20221208 Plenum

  • Heating issues: With the rising temperatures and our nice black insulating curtains the temperature has been OK mostly. On Monday there is an appointment from a heating repair company and they will look at the system.
  • The City Council also discussed the management of the Kreativquartier in the future and declined a draft because it contained no clause about participation of the tenants (like us). This is good for us! Thanks David.

Anything you don't feel comfortable with within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

  • Unfortunately, we figured out (the hard way) that we are very close to the fuse limit. Please refrain from charging your e-car at this time. During the winter month when the heater fans (etc etc.) are running, it is very easy to blow the fuse. This affects our neighbors, so defaulting to "be excellent" here. --ⓒ②② (🅃🄰🄻🄺) 16:47, 8 January 2023 (CET)
  • I propose that we have a general rule to not move the big gate during winter season for two reasons: The curtain might interfere with the gate and cause a problematic situation (e.g. curtain could get caught in the gate). Additionally, it is extremely hard to heat the room back up. For heavy things (e.g. when we had to get stuff done at DECO) it was easy to use the workshop gate (and the workshop acts as 'floodgate' keeping the cold out). For getting air inside, it is a good option to open the kitchen door. --ⓒ②② (🅃🄰🄻🄺) 16:47, 8 January 2023 (CET)
    • Approved! The door should be kept closed

DECO 2022 review

  • This was part of the Germany-wide decentralized congress
  • We had really cool three days, thank you to everyone who helped!
  • We worked together really well with muc.ccc.de and were able to make new contacts

MTB workshop for girls

  • Biine is asking for outside and inside space to hold a MTB workshop on Monday, 27 February 17:00 – 23:30.
  • Together with an experienced mechanic they will teach how to repair MTBs.
    • Vote: unanimously approved!

private Workshop

  • P373r wants to host a private Workshop for Kids/Teens ~11-13years old
  • will need the tables next to the entry plus kitchen to prepare some snacks.
  • Date: Sat January 21 13:00 - 18:30 / 2nd option Sun January 22 13:00 - 18:30
    • Vote: unanimously approved!

Workshop announcement from our neighbors: "3D Print for Repair Workshop"

Kommende Woche Dienstag (17.
