The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things, and decide stuff.
If you have stuff to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).
Preamble
- The Plenum is an institution to decide on what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
- Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
- Everyone who's there can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
- Everyone can head a plenum, no need for board members to do that.
- Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand
- The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
- Scheduling: second Thursday of the month at 8pm and last Sunday at 11am
Next Plenum: Thursday, Aug 13th at 8pm.
Topics for the Plenum
Disclaimer online plenum
Holding an online plenum is no new process and we will only do this do try it out during the time the space is closed. Doing online plenums in the future needs plenum approval. In case we decide to do online plenums in the future this acts as a proof of concept.
What are you currently working on?
Tell everyone about your current projects and stuff you've done for the space
Say Thank you
Let's say thank you to those who did some awesome stuff for the space since the last plenum

Stuff from the past
What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20200709 Plenum
Anything you don't feel comfortable within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
Is there anything that's bothering you?
The Lasercutter has random upload errors. ( e.g. it takes the same time to upload a 2mb file as it takes to upload a 37mb file) when talking to rene he suggested the flash drive of the Lasercontroller might be broken. The problem was temporarily resolved by formatting the internal memory, but now keeps reoccuring. --BotoxBitch

Things to Buy
- It would be nice if the workshop has an assortment of good quality general purpose screws available. We often need screws for projects that are done for the club. People should still bring their own consumables for private projects, but small amounts should be available for everyone (donations welcome). Instead of buying screws ad-hoc in various qualities and with different drives it would be nice to have a uniform assortment from one vendor with a uniform drive. Online shops sell SPAX™ screws cheaper than the local DIY store (e.g. I orderd some SPAX that cost less online than the Dresselhaus screws at Hornbach). I propose to set a yearly budget for ordering screws in bulk. The orders could be documented on a wiki page. The same page could also have a section to prepare the next order in advance, so input on what is needed can be collected. Initially I would try 2 orders/year at approximatly €100 per order. So far the cheapest offer I found was at https://se-shop24.de/, if anyone knows a better source please tell me. --Meier (talk) 09:18, 15 July 2020 (CEST)
- Vacuum adapter for workshop. https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07NZ5N75S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9rRdFb75KQHX4 ~€20 to attach to the central dust collection vac. --Meier (talk) 09:50, 15 July 2020 (CEST)
- Drill sharpener. Most of the drills we have in the workshop are dull. Instead of buying new drills over and over again we could sharpen them ourselves. https://www.amazon.de/Schleifger%C3%A4t-Bohrer-Bohrerschleifger%C3%A4t-Metall-Bohrer-sch%C3%A4rfen/dp/B081B4CYZJ. ~€45 lookst to be identical to Holzmann Maschinen BSG 13E and Optimum Bohrerschleifgerät GQ-D13 --Meier (talk) 13:00, 16 July 2020 (CEST)
- After talking to "Meier" we agreed on putting up the Bernardo BSM 495€ as an alternative. this machine allows us to sharpen drill bits more precisely than the cheap machine and also to point out the tips of the drill bits, so they cut way better into metal.
- Another option was to get rid of the old "Schleifbock", buy a new powerful one Metabo Schleifbock 350€ and show a few people how to grind drills by hand (grinding disks are a lot less expensive, machine is multi purpose, risk of damaging the machine due to wrong handling compared to a bsm is a lot lower.) --BotoxBitch (talk)
- Buy a Tool Sensor 35€ for the CNC Router, so we can get precise tool lengths and do some fancy "3D Abzeilen" --BotoxBitch (talk)
