20200202 Space move 2019

News

We have to leave the old space by February 10th.

There was a meeting between David, Nico and the MGH.

They are interested in long term rentals so we might get a contract for possibly 5 years with a "Staffelmiete" (Rent that rises over time).

We also addressed our pain points:

• Leakage in the roof - They will have a look
• Remove metal rails from the pit - It's OK to remove if we can't manage we can contact them but no idea how/when/if they can remove it
• Fix the heating (Too low in general and powering down during the night) - They will have a look
• Trash cans - They are aware of the issue and are working on solutions

Overall I've (Nico) got a very good feeling about the MGH.

  • We want to have it in front of the space, integrated in the material storage
  • We only want stuff we can't put in the bins outside for now, and we can't recycle plastic

  • One storage box needs to be moved but we don't yet know where to put it
  • Member storage needs some reworking
  • Free to use might be merged with our sheet goods storage

  • Current temporary setup holds the most important items, we have to look into wether we want to keep the arcade or not
  • Consoles need to be stored "somewhere" for the time being (on Laserbox)

  • Mostly assembled and usable currently; we'll see what works and what doesn't and adjust accordingly
  • If you have a 60V 10A power supply left over, please bring it over
  • We need to throw a bunch of stuff out - if you want to help please ask Paul or German

  • Is mostly usable
  • Fine-tuning will be done on the go
  • Storage for hand tools is needed - Peter will send measurements of his "Werkstattwagen" to Christoph

  • Piping should be ordered (thanks David) and we wait for the stuff to arrive

  • Done, we might want a managed switch in the far future

• Remove network - Will be removed when the doorlock has been migrated, Freifunk will be discussed in Plenum
• Move doorlock - Ask Severin if he is going to do it
• Return 5 EU pallets to the place where we borrowed them (maybe not the best ones)
• Write a list for private stuff that should be moved to the new space so that we can evaluate that in the next plenum
