Plenum

The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things, and decide stuff.

If you have stuff to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).

Preamble

  • The Plenum is an institution to decide on what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
  • Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
  • Everyone who's there can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
  • Everyone can head a plenum, no need for board members to do that.
  • Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand
  • The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.

Next Plenum: Thursday, May 17th, 2018, starts around 20:00h

Topics for the Plenum

What are you currently working on?

Tell everyone about your current projects and stuff you've done for the space

Say Thank you

Let's say thank you to those who did some awesome stuff for the space since the last plenum

  • Everyone who was part of the streetlife booth team, made something to show off or helped out in other ways.
  • Thomas and Nico doing work on the roofs of the laser cutter and workshop
  • Jan and ? for having a MuMaLab booth at the Techdays
  • Everyone working on getting the space a bit less messy

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20180419_Plenum

Anything you don't feel comfortable within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

Is there anything that's bothering you?

  • Large things in the space, our "trash can station", our fridge (see following topic)

Large things

We have a lot of things/projects, that neither are not currently worked on, nor are free to use (plotters, routers, typewriters, motorcycles, etc.); but they take away space and bother many people. Furthermore, it's kind of unfair on the people paying money for storage boxes.

  • Create a dedicated wiki page for these things

How do we want to handle this? Especially if members ignore the request to deal with their stuff.

  • Move the stuff to free to use
  • Do some kind of auction
  • Throw it away

And what's a reasonable deadline for this to happen? --David (talk) 14:15, 17 May 2018 (CEST)

Trash can station

I think it's necessary to adjust our way of dealing with trash, as it just keeps piling up until some one is fed up.

  • Please take larger cardboard boxes directly to the paper bin outside. (Smaller paper bin inside?)
  • Move the wood trash to the workshop

Fridge

How can we keep our fridge clean?

  • Writing "free to use" and putting it in the fridge is not a way to dispose of your stuff. Sharing stuff is great, but keep an eye on it, and throw it away (before it starts to rot...).

3D printers

--Cecukemon (talk) 10:26, 3 May 2018 (CEST)

Streetlife

Streetlife was fun and we had many people visiting our booth. We even have three new members who became aware of us at the streetlife. Next streetlife is in september; do we want to participate? --David (talk) 13:50, 12 May 2018 (CEST)

Things to Buy

Things to buy for projects related to the space.

  • New gas & bottle for mig/mag welding (~200€) --Tiefpunkt (talk) 18:40, 6 May 2018 (CEST)
  • One crate of Spezi for everyone helping at the streetlife festival --David (talk) 13:50, 12 May 2018 (CEST)
