The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things, and decide stuff.

If you have stuff to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).

  • The Plenum is an institution to decide on what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
  • Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
  • Everyone who's there can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
  • Everyone can head a plenum, no need for board members to do that.
  • Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand
  • The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
  • Scheduling: second Thursday of the month at 8pm and last Sunday after the cleanup (which starts at 11am)

Next Plenum: Sunday, July 25th at 12pm

Topics for the Plenum

Disclaimer online plenum

Holding an online plenum is no new process and we will only do this do try it out during the time the space is closed. Doing online plenums in the future needs plenum approval. In case we decide to do online plenums in the future this acts as a proof of concept.

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20210708 Plenum

Consumables addition

The following things have been proven very useful and should be added to the list of consumables.

  • Abdeckpapier (one roll is about 31,50 € and lasts 6 month)
  • Folie (25m for about 30€ as well, lasts over 6 month)

Both helps us to prevent that our workbenches are dirty/full with paint and glue. --C22 (talk) 12:30, 12 July 2021 (CEST)

Anything you don't feel comfortable within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

Is there anything that's bothering you?

  • The laser material storage shelf is a big pile of mess again. It would be great to introduce some kind of rule where we can cycle through the materials every 3 month and members need to actively take care of their materials.

My suggestion would be a similar system like the project shelf but allow storing for 3 month instead of 7 days. After 3 month if the sheets are not updated with a date, they get moved over to free 2 use. The free 2 use section gets cleaned out every couple month. Sorting through the materials without such a system is very time consuming - last time we did it, over 50 percent were not picked up by anyone anymore, which probably means that people forget about the materials they store there or they don't care about them.--C22 (talk) 12:30, 12 July 2021 (CEST)

Space Status & signs

The space status has been inactive since the beginning of the pandemic when we needed to close the space to non-members. Right now, we are open to the public again, so let's put it back into use. There are also still some signs around the lab that we're still closed even to members. Is there any reason we need to keep them up? If not we should remove them and try to be open again as before (until the next wave hits...) --Tiefpunkt (talk) 09:52, 20 July 2021 (CEST)

  • David also suggested a while ago that the limit could be raised to 10. --C22 (talk) 11:53, 20 July 2021 (CEST)
  • We should make sure that filling out the necessary paperwork is communicated properly so members of the space know what to do with guests. Or is that no longer necessary? --C22 (talk) 11:53, 20 July 2021 (CEST)
  • now works again properly, so we should be all set for re-enabling the space status. While we're at it, any other cool stats we could display there? Current number of people checked in? Important devices that are working or broken? The old dust sensor is not there anymore, which is why we don't have temperature measurements either. Any ideas how to fix that? --Tiefpunkt (talk) 20:37, 24 July 2021 (CEST)

info@ mailinglist

Just a reminder: if you reply to mails on the info@ mailing list, make sure to send your reply to the mailing list as well, so others know the mail has been handled already. And thanks to everyone who takes care of these emails in general 🙏 --Tiefpunkt (talk) 13:05, 21 July 2021 (CEST)
