There seems to be a little bit of uncertainty about the current frequency of Plenums. For the past four months, we've had one monthly Plenum, on a Thursday. * We had a dispute about the workshop door being open. The workshop enclosure does only make sense when the door is closed. In my opinion the whole workshop buildout was too expensive and too much work to keep the door open and have the disadvantages of an open workshop (cold and warm air exchange, workshop is always colder because we open the gate regularly there). It also sets the wrong signal of a door that should be closed for the said reasons. --C22 (talk) 19:44, 27 February 2020 (CET)

I feel like many things we regularly discuss at the plenum could be easily solved or replaced by one of the many other means of communication we have, such as slack, mailing list or contact to a specific group such as the awareness team or the board. It seems to me that we carry stuff from plenum to plenum, but in the meantime don't really do much to move forward, even though we have a bunch of tools as our disposal. I'm curious if there are others sharing that same feeling, and what we could do about it. --Tiefpunkt (talk) 00:08, 30 June 2020 (CEST)

The Plenum is a regular meeting of all people involved with the space to talk about things, and decide stuff.

If you have stuff to add, go right ahead! Please sign your points with your name (by adding a "--~~~~" after your text).

Preamble

 • The Plenum is an institution to decide on what the space should look like, physically and in other ways, such as virtually.
 • Things concerning the space should be discussed at a plenum.
 • Everyone who's there can participate in that process, member or otherwise.
 • Everyone can head a plenum, no need for board members to do that.
 • Topics should ideally be announced on the Plenum wiki page beforehand
 • The Plenum should be held in a language that everyone participating understands.
 • Scheduling: second Thursday of the month at 8pm and last Sunday at 11am

Next Plenum: Sunday, June 28th at 11am.
