Topics for the next Plenum

What are you currently working on?
Tell everyone about your current projects.
Thank you
Let's say thank you to those who did some awesome stuff for the space since the last plenum
  • Martin & Jenny for finding the space, and making it possible
  • David for providing pressure washers
  • David, Heiko, JanS, Matthias, Nico, Peter, Severin for cleaning the new space
  • The fine folks at Halle6 for some additional cleaning gear
Stuff from the past
What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status on those things?

Anything you don't feel comfortable with in the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?
Is there anything that's bothering you?

Cable trays and lights
Since we don't have a floor to hide our cable crimes, the idea was to put cabletrays along the walls of the space, at a height of approx. 3m, and use that for all cables. We can use the holders from the metal grids for that. Since they are a little bigger than the cable trays, we could use the remaining space for some indirect lighting, by reusing our LED strips which we had in place at the old space. Any opinions? --Tiefpunkt (talk) 01:30, 15 February 2017 (CET)
Lasercutter
  • While we move to the new space it will be a good idea to do the often discussed alignment of X/Y axes before we put the laser tube back in.
  • We have to build a new filter box because the one we had turned out to be not effectiv enough as we have seen the inner housing of the blower. A good idea will be to put two layers of filters in it like the one we had before and additional a carbon filter to be sure to dont blow any bad things out of the pipe. Also these filters should be double the size like we have had until now to be sure to get enough air troughput through all of these filter layers.
  • Also we have to decide where to put the blower and filter to know where we have to open the back wall to put the pipe out of our hall.
Stuff to buy
  • Material to build the workshop wall
  • Fodder for the vending machine. (ESP D1-Mini, WS2812 Light strips, 3W RGB LEDs, Servos, Displays, Arduino Nanos, ...)
  • Letterbox!!
