Projects & Groups update
Just a quick update from the group meeting at our space, or other long-term space projects
- Gaming area
- ordered replacement remote for the big tv, works as intended, was 10 bucks, donation to space. -Bernhard
- 3D Printer for Lab: 3dprinter4lab Update and introduce printer choice poll
- Justin presented the progress and options for selecting a new device. There will be 2 polls upcoming. First to decide which model. Second to ratif the purchaase
- Laser Cutter
- Review from Juan will be used to rework the PCB design. Exhaust is now 100mm pipe inside the old duct. The new solution is working much better (no leaks). The noise from the exhaust got dramtically reduced
- Door Lock
- Motorlock arrived, David will install it in the next few days
- The lock was mechanically installed on the same day, electroncis will follow

Feedback zum Workshop
- Sehr konstruktiv, guter Moderator. Gutes Format für zukünftige Workshops
- Guter Workshop in Summe, aber es fehlt noch vieles. Es gab keine konkrete Ergebnisse/Ansprechpartner/... wie es weiter getragen wird.
- Sammelsurium aus Ideen, Maßnahmen, ... - Jetzt müssen sich Leute finden, die eine Umsetzung von einzelnen Punkten angehen möchten
- Auftrag an den neuen Vorstand, das Thema weiter zu führen, aber die Umsetzung/der Wandel sollte durch die Mitglieder selber kommen.
- Jetzt schon umgesetzte Ergebnisse:
- Wiederbelebung der Donnerstage
- Einführungsworkshops für Neumitglieder

Recap Awareness Team
With the last general assembly, we founded the Awareness Team. How did it do, how do we continue with that topic? --Tiefpunkt (talk) 22:53, 2 July 2022 (CEST)
The awareness team was founded after the last general assembly in 2019, to deal with interpersonal issues in the lab. It came out of the discussion about the Code of Conduct, and consists of 5 members, which were elected by the Plenum. It seems that in its current form, it does not quite work right, as there are still issues, and some of the olf stuff has still not been resolved (see council result from the "Future of the Lab" workshop). Yet it seems obvious that we need something like an awareness team to deal with these things. At the very least we should initiate a reelection some time in the near future, once we have a better understanding of what we want to achieve and how to do so.
- The efficiency of the awareness team was insufficient in the past. In an open discussion multiple people voiced the opinion that the awareness team only has a consulting/moderating role. Decisions and possible actions have to be decided by the board of the club or the general assembly.
- Theresa remarked that the awareness team might be too big. And the communication within the awareness team might have been not optimal
- Roland remarked that as a new member he immediately identified a deep divide and building of groups. Also some people lack basic manners, like greeting each other.
- Rainer has made similar experiences somewhere else like German described about mobbing. Asks about the education of the members of the awareness team.
- Severin: some members of the club rejected a general code of conduct, and to pay for a training of the awareness team.
- Supposedly because the amount of money was too large and the plenum was the wrong format for something of that amount.
- Peter: the board of the club should decide on proposal for penalties and consequences in the future
- Teresa: the future of the lab groups might help with advising/consulting
- Meier: board should make a proposal for a process, and asks the community to ratify the process
- Big topic was also if penalties should be also possible for teams
- David: we will set up a meeting with board and possibly the awareness team
Storage system recap
How to organize our storage in a way that is fair to newer members --David (talk) 12:53, 3 July 2022 (CEST)
We need a process how to reassign boxes. A kind of fairness evaluation has to be developed.
Proposals:
- least used boxes will be reassigned
- possibility to rent a box for a fixed period of time
David: the board will make an initial process proposal, then it will be put up for further discussion
Door Lock
New motor lock is ordered, what do we want to do for the frontend?
- German: is mostly affected if it fails, proposes to buy a commercial solutions. Other extreme is as a maker space we want a self made solution. But no one was available in the past to really design a robust system, and no one stepped forward this time too
- Peter: if a solution can be bought with a couple of 100€s it would be a good idea. it would be nice if a new solution could still look like a makseshift solution
- David: board will discuss it and foster further discussion maybe leading to a loomio poll
