Topics for the Plenum

What are you currently working on?

Tell everyone about your current projects and stuff you've done for the space

  • Theresa: Nothing
  • German: Space move
  • Paul: Work and studying
  • AdrianM: 3D-Printing, space move, ...
  • Bernhard: Space move
  • Flo: Internet radio with an ESP, repairing a TV
  • Daniel: Space move
  • Thomas: Space move and lasercutting
  • Nico: Space move

Say Thank you

Let's say thank you to those who did some awesome stuff for the space since the last plenum

  • The team planning out the new space but especially German, Christoph, Jonas, Daniel, Chris and Nico who did all the work so far.

Stuff from the past

What was discussed at the last Plenum? What's the current status of those things? 20191027 Plenum

  • Werkbox is looking for a new space here at the KQ but planning of the "Stadtentwässerung" seems to take a bit longer

Anything you don't feel comfortable within the space? What would you like to change or to be changed?

Is there anything that's bothering you?

  • Kitchen is messy
  • Parking in front of the space
  • tools are missing, put it back to where you got it, write it on stuff on a mission if you take it home

Minijobs

A list of jobs can be found glued to the door to the wood workshop. Please add yourself!

Wednesday cleanups

Was scheduled yesterday but nobody was there for the cleanup.

Seems not to work.

Decision if we keep the date will be postponed to after the space move.

new T-Shirts

Are people interested in ordering a new batch of T-Shirts? If (enough) yes, I would organise that and create a new design. Proposed concept:

  • no name prints
  • order a bunch of them, past orders show this distribution:
    • 15 XL
    • 20 L
    • 20 M
  • All of them in blue

--Tarwin (talk) 09:58, 14 November 2019 (CET)

  • People want shirts but more colors, especially black would be nice.
  • Most want specific orders and not just a bunch that's lying around.
  • still a few old ones left, anyone interested?

The new space

Update on the bureaucratics: lease, administration, etc.

  • transfer of the maintenance to the MGH is delayed until at least march
  • first inspection of the new room has been done
    • heating is an ongoing topic
    • in contact with the MGH, regarding the metal edges of the pit
    • roof
  • the new, now indefinite, lease is signed
  • the cost is approx. 1500, including "heating", water and power
  • official clearance of the old room is 15th of November ;)
    • extension until end of november is assured by the administration, further extension possible

Update on the space: todos, etc.

  • What we have done so far can be seen in Space move 2019
  • There is still a ton to do so please help during the next weekends and if you can even during the week.
  • We have jobs for every skill level!
  • Next big task is to plaster the wall. Work starts Friday 15th November at ~5-6pm and then fill the ramp with gravel and concrete, work for that starts Saturday November 16th around 10am.

Tool storage

We would like to try a new tool storage using Euroboxes. That would cost ~50€.

  • Approved and Nico will create a wiki page if you would like to order a box for yourself

Christmas Party

It's that time of the year again.

  • December 5th it is!

Things to Buy

Things to buy for projects related to the space.

  • 600€ for space renovations
    • This sum was approved via slack so that we can get started with renovating the new space. Nico will show what has been used so far.
  • Construction wood to build a room for the laser and the workshop. About 1300€. We will be able to store stuff/walk on the laser room but not on the workshop.

Approved!

  • 5polig CEE-Stecker für kaputte Schleifmaschine in der Werkstatt ca. 5€

Severin has a motor capasitor which is the right size and that way we can just use a Schuko plug which we have.

  • A metal bandsaw - ~100€. We've been discussing a replacement saw for metal for a while, I found a decent looking one for not too much money. --Tiefpunkt (talk) 17:10, 14 November 2019 (CET)

8 In favor, 6 didn't vote and one was against it - approved!

  • Motor lock (if necessary): I will check this tonight: I will try to talk to the manufacturer if they can exchange the old one, as we are such a nice nonprofit association. If not, between approx. 300€ (used) and 800€ (new), --David (talk) 18:38, 14 November 2019 (CET)

Approved!

  • Alex borrowed a China ruby Nozzle to the X350. We would like to keep it and want to buy it from him for 30€ (nicer finish to prints and also resistant to wear)

1 against it, 3 didn't vote, rest approved it.

  • For the Ultimaker Z Unlimited we want to add an Heating Bed (10€)

Approved

  • Alex also has an Aluminium Bondtechstyle Extruder, which would be nice to fit in the X400. Its Awesome, but maybe pricey at 70€

Postponed until the x400 worked for a bit

  • give Rene 20€ to get new Plotterconsumables, such as new knives and a small selection of Plotting Material

Nobody against it, 8 didn't vote, 7 in favor.
