Streetlife Festival
Planning for our booth at the Streetlife Festival on Sept 12th and 13th, in Munich.
Overview
At the Streetlife Festival, we'll have a booth in the "We Make Munich" village, which is organized by the Make Munich team. There'll be some other booths present, such as Werkbox3, FabLab München, Robotics Meetup, and Makerspace Garching
Ideas
The initial idea was to not have a standard "bar-like" booth, but put a few big projects on display, by setting up small islands (maybe build with Europallets), that people can walk around, and maybe also have some lounge chairs to hang out it.

- Possibly a MrBeam laser engraver

Party
Saturday night, the festival will go on until 2am, so we could throw a party at our booth. We're guessing that the other booths in our village probably won't make it that long, so we might have a bit more space (and power).
Idea was to setup a bunch of lights, and play some CC-licensed music, so we don't get into any GEMA troubles (and because it's awesome to push CC music). Maybe we can make a CC banner or something of sorts as well.
Lights
Ideas for lights (not just for the party, but fits fairly well here)
- Severin's batman signal (needs a brighter bulb for that)
- RGB LEDs in helium filled balloons
- Lasers? (We'd need a Laserbeauftragter for that, but if MrBeam is coming, they'll have someone)
Art
We need to do something big to get people to our booth. Estimating from the first planning meeting, noone else will be able to deliver, so let's do this.
Ideas
- Big letters spelling "MAKE" in the center of the village. Thinking like 2.5 - 3m in height, 60-80cm deep. Recycled materials, wood, metal, plastics, and then lights on the inside
- Minion statue
- Other statues, spying smoke or stuff.
