A PirateBox that can play audio. PirateBox + MPD + Speakers. Connect to it with your phone or laptop, create a playlist, and press play. I finished the hardware part, and documented it in my tumblr.

Hardware

  • RaspberryPi Model B (ordered already)
  • WiFi Adapter: TP-Link TL-WN722N (ordered already)
  • Speakers: possibly an old boombox from ebay. could serve as a case as well
  • Battery
  • SD-Card: still have one lying around somewhere

Software

  • Custrom PirateBox Raspbian image [1]
  • MPD

Possible Extension: Pirate FM Transmitter

You can use the Rasberry Pi as a crud FM Radio! Details: [2]
